What to do when things are helpless. (The self-help article that I don’t know how to write)

The procedure to declare something helpless is long and tiresome. It is composed of three bureaucratic stages that are decomposed into five steps each. If you are interested in making a formal demand of helplessness you can use the guide in the following link: www.thingsarehelpless.com. Here you will find an extremely heavy PDF of 300 pages where the instructions are carefully explained.

Note: It is recommended NOT to use the link provided above, since it has recently been giving the error 404, and others.

In our institution we are proud to offer our desperate clients the most complete service there is on the market; once the demand is approved, you will receive our “package for helpless things” that includes:
1 month of pre-paid daily appointments with a shrink,
1 month worth of passiflora tea bags,
And the “things are helpless” guide in a practical CD.

Any questions or further inquiries can be made between 8:45 until 11:45 or from 1:15 to 2:45 pm. From Tuesday to Thursdays, and on Mondays from 9:45 to 2:15; Fridays only with a previous appointment that can easily be made with a faxed letter sent through the number: 0 800-43571 (0 800-HELP!)

In order to grant you the optimal conditions for your emotional catharsis, we have created a monthly calendar designed to highlight the rainy days, and the upcoming storms, so you can choose the perfect gloomy day to go outside and scream out loud your helplessness under the rain, accompanied by the sound of thunder.

For now, we advise you to listen to our theme song, “Bad day”, by whoever was it that wrote it-a completely helpless one hit wonder of the last decade- and mourn over your pessimistic thoughts. So feel free to keep overthinking and overanalyzing life, and if you ever arrive to the conclusion that things are helpless, well…don’t bother telling us,

It’s helpless.

-      -  Dear reader: there’s one simple message that I want to convey with this article, and that is, that nothing is helpless. Sometimes things may seem like they are, but they’re really not. Maybe I’m saying this because I believe that passiflora tea actually helps, I am not afraid to go talk to a shrink, and I really enjoy rainy days. Yes, I am optimistic to the core, and so should you, when life gets rough. If you’re going through tough times, this is what I recommend: save yourself from the emotional exhaustion of declaring that things are helpless and just use your energy to get up and fix whatever needs to be fixed. Trust me, that’s what I’m doing now. -
